Paris Hilton Not Worried about Swine Flu

The celebrity singer and actress Paris Hilton is not afraid of swine flu.Paris Hilton was asked by a paparazzo yesterday if she’d heard of the swine flu. And The celebrity Paris Hilton shook her head No and continued to play with her Blackberry.

When the photographer explained that:

it’s a new flu that’s killing a lot of people in Mexico and everything.

And asked if the celebrity Paris Hilton was concerned she said:

I don’t eat that.

The swine flu is of course spread from person to person and cannot be caught from eating pork. You wouldn’t expect the celebrity Paris Hilton to know that, since Paris Hilton’s completely oblivious to the biggest story in the news. The celebrity singer and actress Paris Hilton must not even glance at the headlines on the papers.
The swine flu coverage is over the top and it’s unnecessarily scaring the people who do pay attention. From most news in the US, it’s responding well to antivirals and is easily treated if it’s caught soon enough. No one in the US has died from the swine flu. That we know of which can be deadly but usually only causes mild symptoms. The government seems to have a solid plan for containing the flu and making sure there are enough drugs available to treat it.
Stewart quipped that, swine flu ranks last on the list of things that can kill you in Mexico, with Bullet Flu at the top of the list. They expressed a clip from CNN in which they turned the entire country of Canada red on a big map for 6 mild cases of the flu.

Stewart said:

I like a good scare as much as the next guy, but for six mild cases of the flu you’re going to turn four million square miles bright red?… What does a herpes outbreak look like out there? Blood coming out of your eyes?

Maybe the Paris Hilton is right not to be too concerned. And she is doing fine.

Lana Wachowski Creator of the Matrix & Transsexual?

Lana Wachowski Creator of the Matrix & Transsexual?

This morning Backwards City posted an article called The Mystery of Larry Wachowski which referred to a Rolling Stones article that talks about rumored Matrix creator and her personal life.

Image

If you've been asleep at the computer for the last ten years, I'll fill you in. The Wachowski brothers are known as the masterminds behind the legendary trilogy called the Matrix. Overnight millionaires, one of the brothers "Larry" supposedly began the transition from male to female, by beginning the process of taking hormones, and dressing in her new gender.

No information from the Wachowskis have denied or confirmed the rumors, and the public was left with a much more feminized Lana when she appeared at the 2001 Cannes film festival.

I found the Rolling Stones article very condemning, and consistently trying to connect Lana with stereotypes, rather then facts. I wonder if the Triad's own Transsexual celebrity Jamie Koufman received any bad press after being featured in the Winston Salem Journal?

Which brings me to a more interesting question? How would your job, your neighborhood, or your church react to a transsexual? Would we openly accept it? Would your church throw them out? What if it was a relative or even better..your son,daughter,husband,wife..or church member?

And the even bigger question is:

Is Trinity, Lana?

Flawless Michelle Obama

WASHINGTON -- On Day 53 as first lady, Michelle Obama and her mother, Marian Robinson, traveled to the Georgetown home of Teresa Heinz Kerry for a luncheon with a small group of women.

The wife of Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) put together the March 13 informal gathering -- reported here for the first time -- to welcome Mrs. Obama and her mom to town.

"She was extraordinarily open and accessible and friendly and genuinely interested in the people who were there and what they were saying," said an attendee, Sally Quinn, a Washington Post columnist and co-moderator of the Post's "On-Faith" feature.

Quinn has known every first lady since Mamie Eisenhower. Mrs. Obama is the only first lady "who was not wary," Quinn said. Open, friendly and laughing, "she seemed like a real person," Quinn said.

During the presidential campaign the image of the native South Sider -- a graduate of Whitney Young High School, Princeton and Harvard Law -- got out of control. At times she was portrayed -- often by conservatives -- as angry and not loving her country.

That's been corrected.

Mrs. Obama's first 100 days have been just about flawless.

"She's focused on issues that are important in a local and national sense, but are not controversial," said Martha Joynt Kumar, a Towson University professor who specializes in presidential communications.

Mrs. Obama's issue portfolio is substantive -- and safe.

Healthy eating. Helping military families. Balancing work and family. Opening up White House events. Community service.

The past weeks have produced public events showcasing Mrs. Obama: planting the White House vegetable garden; bringing cooking school students into the White House kitchen; thanking federal employees at agency visits; dazzling Europe.

She's become a fashion icon. Her buff arms caught the nation's attention.

Very mindful of her historic status as the first African-American first lady, Mrs. Obama gave her first post-election cover shoot to Vogue.

In the world of women's magazines, covers featuring African Americans are rare.

"Mrs. Obama felt it was very important for young African-American girls to see someone like her on a cover of a major magazine," said Camille Johnston, Mrs. Obama's communications director.

On the private side, Mrs. Obama has spent time settling daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, and her mother into their new home.

She dines at times with Chicago pals Valerie Jarrett and Desiree Rogers, who have followed her into the White House, taking on very powerful roles -- Jarrett as senior advisor, Rogers as social secretary.

Last week, Mrs. Obama had a night out with Rogers.

"We did go to the theatre," Rogers said. "It was a good way for the First Lady to see a variety of the arts talent in the D.C. community."

Mrs. Obama's popularity is soaring -- with Democrats and Republicans. A poll taken April 14-21 found Mrs. Obama's favorability ratings -- at 76 percent -- have only increased in the last 100 days.

On Day 94, at a "take your child to work" event at the White House, Mrs. Obama reflected on her new non-paid employment.

"I think I have the best job in the White House."

Orange County Hair Salons

Jade, you actually did my hair a while back. Nice man!
I'm a twenty-four year-old college student who will be done with school in a month. My boyfriend and I have been dating nine months and I am now two months pregnant. He is aware of the situation and is very supportive. My mother, however, is very strict and set in her ways. She reinforces all the time that I must not have sex with anyone until I'm married, and she has been asking me questions about whether or not I've had sex with my boyfriend. I am very afraid to tell her I'm pregnant because there is no telling how mad she will get. What do I do?!?!?!?!

Orange County Hair Gives Advice

I recently (about one month ago) met a guy on-line and we have been BF, GF for about three weeks now. Every one is worried about what will happen when we finally see each other for the first time. I just want to meet him. I feel as if I have known him for all my life. We talk all the time and he always tells me that he loves me. How can I be sure that what he says is what he really means?

Please answer me...

My Gay Friend

My best buddy is a gay male. I am a straight female. We get along so well, soul mates, so to speak. My problem is that I truly believe I am in love with him. I miss him terribly when we are apart and am very turned on by him. I can't explain it. Do I keep on as is because I can't risk losing him or do I try to see if he has bisexual interests?

Square Face Shapes and Reese Witherspoon. Mission Viejo Hair

So now I will attack Square faces.but I would rather slam Reese Witherspoon. Sometimes I just gotta get off the serious stuff and go gossip.
Geez, what is up with her, her lousy acting and how the hell did she get that Oscar? Well..don't get me started on untalented making millions and then walking off with an Oscar at the time she was up against the truly talented. What does Jake see in her? Yeah I can see what she gets about him...no prob. But nothing specil about her. Take off the make up and extensions she is plain. Well, her face is square face with a pointed chin. O.k enough of that. Back to square one. This rare face shape belongs to some seriously sexy A-list stunners such as Katie Holmes, Kate Walsh, Jessica Simpson, Sandra Bullock, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Demi Moore, Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Things to keep in mind if you have a square face is that layered bangs that fall to or below your eyebrows are very flattering, especially if they are swept off to the side. Fringey and wispy bangs look great, too, since they will soften the edges of your face shape. Cuts to avoid are blunt bangs or airy bangs that come to your jawline (a common look for a chin-length bob), as these types of bangs will only cause your face to look sharp—and not in the good way.At times tho depending on weight and some other features the square face with strong lines in the cut can be striking and dramatic. Edgy even. The woman has to be able to carry that strong edgy attitude too
