Square Face Shapes and Reese Witherspoon. Mission Viejo Hair

So now I will attack Square faces.but I would rather slam Reese Witherspoon. Sometimes I just gotta get off the serious stuff and go gossip.
Geez, what is up with her, her lousy acting and how the hell did she get that Oscar? Well..don't get me started on untalented making millions and then walking off with an Oscar at the time she was up against the truly talented. What does Jake see in her? Yeah I can see what she gets about him...no prob. But nothing specil about her. Take off the make up and extensions she is plain. Well, her face is square face with a pointed chin. O.k enough of that. Back to square one. This rare face shape belongs to some seriously sexy A-list stunners such as Katie Holmes, Kate Walsh, Jessica Simpson, Sandra Bullock, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Demi Moore, Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Things to keep in mind if you have a square face is that layered bangs that fall to or below your eyebrows are very flattering, especially if they are swept off to the side. Fringey and wispy bangs look great, too, since they will soften the edges of your face shape. Cuts to avoid are blunt bangs or airy bangs that come to your jawline (a common look for a chin-length bob), as these types of bangs will only cause your face to look sharp—and not in the good way.At times tho depending on weight and some other features the square face with strong lines in the cut can be striking and dramatic. Edgy even. The woman has to be able to carry that strong edgy attitude too

80's hair styles: big hair
Hair styles of the 80s are the most diverse and humorous characteristics of this decade. In early 80s, the New Romantic fashion styles kicked off the decade with great hair experimentation. For a while there seemed to be a competition to see who could build the tallest hair, have the strangest angles, or a favourite of this site - how much plastic, metal and mousse you could fit into your hair and still keep your head upright. In this first part of on ongoing series, eighty-eightynine will look at big hair.

Big hair is not unique to the 80s - the 60s had the beehive and the 70s had the afro. What set the 80s hair styles apart was their diversity. The start of the decade saw the extravagance of strange hair colours and cuts. By 1984 the trends had settled and focused on one simple concept - volume. More hair was better. Bananarama had some of best examples of 80s hair - pretty much reflecting the fashions of the decade (but maybe not the best fashions) from cuts styles to volume and flicks. The 'Hair Bands' of the 1980s applied this style which was strongest around 1987-88. Your hair could go up, out and down. It could look like you put your head in a candy floss machine - as long as it wasn't straight - this was the ultimate sin in the early 80s (often met with the criticism 'she needs to do something with that hair').

By 87-88, the 70s started to return and it was suddenly OK to have a retro look. You could even have short hair provided it was bleached, dyed a bright color or spiked with hair gel).

Many accessories were available to assist with this process - you could tease your hair and stick it up with mousse. Some mousse even contained glitter or other sparkle pieces to give your hair 'extra interest and individuality'. If you think shampoo stings, try getting glitter mousse in your eyes - a common occurrence as some brands tended to flake.

Like any cultural period, bands of the 80s reflected styles of the decade. Below you will find images of Dave Stewart, Sisters of Mercy, Bananarama and more. If you want more 80s fashion, see the Leg Warmers section of this site.

Mission Viejo Hair Salon Stylist agrees

It's always great to have new challenges or challenges with repeat or long term clients. My mind and my creativity needs to be worked up, challenging my knowledge and therefore coming up with my own solutions to clients changing needs. Hair, does change as we age...as gray makes it appearance my hair color formulation must change and get reworked..but as well as hair color, the hair style needs to be revamped. Challenges come in one way when we speak of face shapes.

Your goal is to minimize the roundness of your face as much as possible. Kirsten Dunst, a classic round face, shows off a great cut for round faces here. Why this cut works: The gentle waves deflect the roundness of Dunst's face. She has just the right amount of wave here. Extremely curly or flat hair can accentuate roundness. Note Dunst's hair has layers, which are important on a round face. Styles that fall just below the chin help elongate the face. Be careful with short haircuts -- your head can appear rounder with a bob, especially if you were also blessed with a short neck. Wispy ends are more flattering to a round face than blunt, one-length ends. These tend to widen the face. Product musts for this look:
This style requires a setting spray to hold the wave. Spritz on a 2-inch section of hair before wrapping around a barrel of a curling iron. I like Bumble and Bumble's styling spray.

To add volume to limp curls, try a volumizing spray or mousse.

This cute pixie look with spiky bangs is great for oval face shapes. Oval faces are the most versatile of face shapes. Many different styles will work for you, but no matter the length of your cut, you'll look best with layers near your cheekbones, lips or chin. Soft, longish fringe, textured and irregularly styled soften the brow and brings out the eyes.
-- basically whatever feature you want to highlight. The following photo galleries illustrate the best and worst haircuts for your face shape. This photo is perfect for oval face shapes because the cut shows off the cheekbones and chin. The spike effect is downplayed, too much spike is NOT good on an oval face shape. It gives the illusion of length. But then again too much spike is not what's happening currently for men or women. But yes, the oval shape is ideal for many different hair styles and hair cuts. Having fun with hair is great. you can cut it into long layers then cut them shorter.Cut the length and then grow it back out. Enjoy it! Color it then color it back! One thing is sure, shorter lengths are hot and they can take years off..better than Botox.
